VO: “David had to work late all this week putting together presentations for a large industry trade show. He puts the finishing touches on his last presentation and decides it’s time to go home for the day. As he gets ready to leave, he suddenly realizes that today is his anniversary and he’d better pick up a major bouquet of flowers for his wife quickly, …or else.
As he leaves his office, he powers up “mAble” his new location-based service application on his color GPS-enabled phone. He accesses the service and chooses “Merchants” and then “Flowers.”
As mAble knows his precise location, it provides him with the closest five florists in a list on his phone.
David and his wife recently moved to the area, and he’s unsure which florist is located on his drive home, so he chooses “map.”
A map appears showing him his current location as well as the locations of the five closet flower shops on his commute.
He cycles through the locations until he finds “The Smelly Flower” which is just off the beltline and before his subdivision. He selects the shop from the map and gets the telephone number of the shop.
He calls the store and orders a dozen emergency roses, thanks the clerk and starts on his half hour commute home.
While David is driving to the store, the map on his phone continues to update itself based on his current location. When David reaches a stoplight, he toggles back and forth between map and text modes to get further detailed street by street directions to the florist.
He gets to the shop, pays way too much for last minute roses and heads home for a wonderful evening with his one true love!
Crisis averted thanks to mAble!”
